Hey glynn... post that part where it states "you should look at the fmsca rule book it is illegal to have a firearm in any commercial motor vehicle unless you are liscensed to carry by the federal government hauling for them"
It's BS stories like these that come from other uninformed truckers that make people crazy and mislead them. -
The manner in which he was doing it would be considered concealed carry. If he was not permitted to do so (and in CT, it's highly unlikely that he was), then he was in violation of the law. Had he been transporting it in a manner legal in the state of CT, then he wouldn't be in violation (at least not for that - I too wonder why his truck was being searched).
THEN WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE THE HELL THIS REG SUPPOSEDLY IS TO BE FOUND IN THE FMCSR, THEN? I've already asked a few posters to point it out, and only got crickets in response. If it's there, then maybe you'll be the one person who seems to be able to find it? -
It doesn't exist... even law enforcement types have dropped in and commented... this guy is just like so many other truck driver lemmings, believing crap they heard at the Petro diner.
Joetro Thanks this. -
It's just like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or Bengals fans, I swear...

You are full of it. Quit being one of those that spouts BS that you know absolutely nothing about except what some dipstick told you. If you can't provide evidence you need to keep quiet on the subject.
####, I'm getting tired of these people.
-
Agreed, sir.
Not to hijack, but might be moving back up to your neck of the woods. -
Well, come on up! We need good people. Might help displace some of the idiots.
Oh, and I think hijacking would be the best thing for this thread. -
Might move to Missoula, the wife's mom and some of the family are in Cataldo/St Maries... the rest of her folks are in Chehalis/Napavine, WA. Don't want to be TOO close to the family, but 100-120 miles away is a great distance.
Thinking about juggling my lawfirm work... lots of cases originate on Washington.. and buying or leasing a truck and going back on the road, mostly NW regional, 11 Western. -
Sounds like a good plan. My wife has family in St. Maries, too.
