I have my CDL A with X end. but NO EXP! who will hire me?

    Hey all,

    I've had my CDL A with tanker and Hzmt endorsements, for about 3 years now.
    Right out of school, i hired on with a crude oil company in TX. Due to the slowness, i had to move on.......Long story short, I currently drive a straight truck, but WANT to get on the road.


    Question #1
    Do I need to get trained (school) all over again? Which of the big companies would hire me and (go through there training)

    Which companies have terminals in the Detroit metro area!!!!!!

    Where did you go to school? Will they give you a free refresher course. That might work for you.

    If you have your CDL, just find one of these training companies and they'll send you out with a trainer for 6-8 weeks. Might not be the best job, but that's what you'll have to do to get your foot in the door.
    Then in 6-12 months, you can move on up.
