"just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!"
Look, let me throw this out there. I am sure that the technology exists to do all kinds of crazy spy crap. Smart guys in labcoats get paid big bucks to dream up all kinds of scary junk. Who the hell has time to listen and catalog Bubba's conversation to Mama about how crappy the job is? If there is a dude or group of dudes whose sole job description is monitering the activities of drivers, I don't want to go to the driving academy. I want to go to spooky spy dudes with LOTS of free time academy. I wonder if it pays good?

Same here. Then we'll have PLENTY of driver stories to tell our friends and family, won't me? Perhaps...we could collaborate on a book??

Is ViperTTC 2 different people? After the update he suddenly could spell and compose complete sentences. Still paranoid though. Good luck with that guy.

first off i can say this i drive for a company that did put cameras in there
trucks! this is a fact because i had one of them truck and they kept telling me
i had to keep my pants on when i was in there truck!! i think i did that just too piss them off :biggrin_25525:
but they ended up taking them out due to the lawyers
so may i be so bold to say just how many company office dogs posted here?
you know you tin foil lap dogs? looking at your post times
and that depends on what coast your on.
as for the Iteris lane departure system it does more then just the rumple strip speaker noise if you took some time and went too there web site and read all of it you will find out it does take a moving video and records it so when you do hit something the company can say if it is the drivers fault.
along with that black box but wait one company i know is playing around with all this and that is gordon trucking so this gut you say has a tin foil hat is not so far off base here there is two big fleets that had played with this in the past don't know if they are still playing with ti or not!
i looked into that qualcomm and yes it runs off of Microsoft windows base computer and he is right about the monitor being the touch screen of the unit
so as a driver i say you dip sticks that use the tin foil hat blame game this guy is not again i say so far off base! look at how many cameras there are at the stop lights and along the road?
you think if a company can put a video camera looking forward and it caught some four wheeler do something wrong that caused that accident and they tried to blame the truck driver you think if that saved the company a lawsuit that they would not invest in that system?
its all about covering the company's ### right now people will do most anything to sue if they can wouldn't you if you seen a chance to get big bucks??
honestly the way thing are going now i would! and so would you
but anyway as for the phone bug thing? well it is not impossible to listen in with a computer INTERNET phone?? yes i have heard of that but would a company go that far? companies have bugged employees phone and have had cameras installed to watch the employees so why not trucks?
time will tell but what if this is all happening? then what? as for me i keep my mind open and do not dismiss nothing
computer have come way to far, there are four of them in my truck just to get it to move down the road
yes if i owned a fleet of trucks i would invest to cover my ### from some dam frivolous lawsuit
i say dont toss your tin foil till you know all the facts

That just hurt to read man. Paragraphs are your friend.
And be sure to check out Big Don's discount tin foil hat emporium for the new fall line. Durable reynolds wrap shell with a form fitting saran wrap liner for that custom fit.

Scuttlebutt is that Swift just hired 2000 of them, and most big companies use them. Where you sign up for the job, I don't know.

Paragraphs are a good thing. I lost interest about a third of the way down.

Pants are good too, when you're at work. I've noticed that most drivers wear them.

In fact, when I was in trucking school, my instructor argued that having the cruise control on when it was raining was a major cause of accidents, because they always found wrecked trucks with cruise controls on. I suggested that the drivers were also always wearing pants, and that may also have been the cause of the accident, just applying the same logic.

However, you may have just put a hole in my argument.
