Advice for wannabe trucker?

No I don't agree with telling him NOT to go to college but what got me going is people telling him he MUST!

 

My advice. don't believe anything any one says on this web site or any other trucking web site.

is thrucking? something you grew up knowing that's what you wanted to be? If it is! then you will be great at it. Just remeber. that one day you might want to have a family. trucking and marriages don't mix. so one day you will have to decide. the road or family.

So going to college now while your young. will give you on edge in the job market. and a great exit plan for getting out of trucking.

nearly every driver out there on the road has never been to college. and trucking is all know and all they have for the most part.

and if you are wonder why should you go to college. Think of it like this. what else do you have to do for the next 8 years.

Most trucking companies won't hardly hire under the age of 25. unless you have done time in the military.

My point! do what you want in life. and spend it how ever you want. much like your parents. all i can do is watch. Good luck and take care.
