New cb radio

Have you looked at the new Magnum Raptor? Those are powerful radios and if you shop around you cant get on for $185 from H&Y electronics,just take to your fav tech and have it tuned.I have heard that most shops are charging $300+ for the same radio!

If it were up to me i would be using an illegally modified (for 11 meters) Icom 706 in my car and truck but i just cant talk the wife into truing over the check book for that one!

We recently played with one and it is LONG LEGGED AND LOUD!
I did like the new style dimmer switch,the rest of the fluff
is over kill and will certainly prevent me from adding this rig to my collection.

Summery: alot of money for useless bells and to many whistles
We benched it and saw the most consistent being right near 152-154 WPEP
For $3bill's I think they could have done better then the 2290 pill,but . . . .
