I just know some people say that the caffine can mess with your blood pressure, and your heart rate, and that can kill you on the pre-work screening. Other than that, the first day is all the important activity, physical, drug screen, pre-work screening, and your driving test. Like I said once that is done the rest of orientation is pretty easy. Sometimes boring.

Update: I've been here in Appleton,WI since Sunday the fight was good caught the shuttle to the hotel with two other trainees, checked in and realized after looking at this hotel that if this is any indication of how Roehl treats its drivers I'll be here for a longtime, the hotel is amazing couldn't be any better ..On Sunday I got all the rest I needed for 7am Monday orientation, day one was qualify day, drug screens, pre-work screening ,paper work, and class room work.... we were done by 5:30 pm and went back to the hotel and then to a restaurant for dinner with our vouchers provided by Roehl:biggrin_25520:... Woke up at 5:30am today so I could get some of the complimentary breakfast buffet at the hotel( which has a swimming pool, arcade, and gym etc, etc, etc) then off to the terminal by 7am, our first day driving, and my first time driving a 53' with a sleeper, my first time behind the wheel knocked some of the cob webs off,the my second shot really knocked off the cob webs ..learned how to idle shift, and had some hick ups:biggrin_2559: but I'll get better as the days go on ...after driving we went over home work and previewed tonight's home work got off at 5:30 and went to dinner ...Doing homework then a lil tv and im off too bed ....

I wonder... It is a wonder that they don't run when they get to Gary. I did my orientation there, the people at Roehl were great, it was just Gary that was not.

First year driver low 30's a bit more for flat usually, some do better some do worse. You start around .30cpm and run between 100k to 120k miles. There are alot of things that can effect that though, if you are on a hometime fleet it will be less, if you are on a regional fleet it could be less, the longer you stay out in the truck, and the less time you spend at home, the more money you can make.
