Looking For a company

it depends on how many times you have jumped jobs in the last 3 years. if it's 3 times. or one job a year. then you shouldn't have much trouble. if it's more then that. thyen yes you are going to have trouble getting another driving job. about every company doesn't want to see more the 1 job in 3 years. and the most of 5 jobs in 10 years. some will take job hoppers. but not many. think of it like this. if you had to process an application that has 10 jobs in 5 years. and laying under it is an application with 2 or 3 jobs in 5 years. which one would you do? and that is how companies are viewing it now. you might get hired on some where. don't exspect them to treat you too well. or work you too hard. or give you a new truck. there thought are: why should i do this for a driver that may only be here a few months. If you would try staying at your next job for atleast 5 years. then you will only read about the problems other drivers have. and not have the problems of being a job hopper. maybe you should have thought about this the first or second job you had.

Well, I would stay away from the large companys. Most smaller companys understand that you took the hook from a large company recruiter and being new (less then a few years) your options were limited. Now that you have three years of safe driving you should be good. The safe driving is the only record that really counts.

oldgrey, I wasn't trying to ruffel your feathers. you have to remember! this is the internet. any ways. you could do what i ahve been doing for a while now. if you have a good pickup and a good box or flat bed trailer. you can shop around on the internet. and pull LTL. it's not great pay. but it works. and you end up with a little more freedom. which from the sound of it. that's what your after isn't it? you just can't be afraid to loose a little every now and then.

Oldgrey what state do you live in?? I work for a good smaller company headquartered in western Ohio with terminals/droplots in Detroit MI, Chicago IL, East Windor CT, Cleveland OH, and Duncan SC.
