Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Please, no more talk of banning. But seriously, Chevys rule, nothing will ever change my mind on that one.

Ford has carried me around for far more miles than a cheby ever will. Wife's car is a 2000 Blazer, but I drive a Ford. -
So sorry to hear that. When are you going to get a real truck?

Already have one thank you very much. -
You might look into Crete or Shaffer as well. They seem to be a good paying company with lots of good comments. Mavrick is another one that seems to be right up there and is on my list.

My name is Nicole and I suggest your husband goes to get an Independant DOT physical before he even applies for schooling because if you can not pass the physical then you will never be able to drive truck.
I went to school, and I picked an independant school called Roadmaster.
They promised me a job, however they were not a trucking company.
I never got a job after school even though I was promised job placement and things like that. I visited several companies that I will not mention the names of, who simply sent me home when I showed up at their door.
If he goes to trucking school, have him go to one that actually belongs to a company.
The companies will have a vested interest in getting him through the school and actually giving him a job.
