My husband is new to the trucking industry and I had some questions. First of all He works for KLLM he is hearing through the grape vine that it's gonna be at least a month before he can get a truck as a company drive when he goes to upgrade. we are looking into Leasing but unsure of what to do, any help would be welcomed and appreciated.:biggrin_2557::mconfused::mconfused::mconfused:

Please go to the O/O section and READ about leasing before he signs anything. Read everything you can. Then make a decision. Leasing is only in the companies favor, not the lessor. :biggrin_2556:

This is a good thread to start with:

Welcome to the forum, and get him on board here too.

There was a thread going regarding a KLLM driver that signed up for a lease. I'm drawing a blank however as to what his username is. Hasn't been around much I think.

    Hello and welcome to TTR.

Some companies will use that tatic of not having a company truck to try to force you into a lease. As stated above do the research.

Hello and welcome to the forum! There is a wealth of information on here. Take time to look around, a LOT. Try to get your hubby on here too.

Have him jump right into the forum for information. But don't I sAY DON'T jump into a lease before you have all the facts.

You will find that this business will change your lives. Your life style is going to be considerably different than it was when he was home all the time. There is help for you here with that, as well.

Good luck to both you and your "old man!":biggrin_25525:

Hello and welcome to the asylum !:biggrin_25523:

Like the others said, check out some facts before signing anything. I can't help, as my hubby is a company driver and has never leased, but there are a lot of wise folk here who have the experience to give you good advice. :biggrin_25514:
Let us know how it goes with KLLM, and when you get time, don't forget to visit the Ladies room and yap there. There are usually more men that women in that room, its one of life's mysteries. :biggrin_25524:
