well man I just quit my company US Xpress today I'm now going back to USA for the Southeast regional run. I also realized that you live in New York while I live in Arkansas I'm sorry to get your hopes up but maybe if I get in good with USA I might see what I can do.

    To RoaringDown55:

Thanks A lot. Actually, I was offered a position with Priority Transportation. I have been reading the threads about them and it seems they are not that good...:(

Also, I have to contact a local company today...July 27th, might be getting a job witth them and I have a job interview on August 2nd...I am going back to the NYPD.

Actually, I am thinking about not returning to the trucking business because they are corrupt and unethical. Their treatment of me and their ability to literally make someone suffer for just an accident has and will always leave me jaded or at very least careful when choosing a trucking company...I have learned a valuable lesson, thanks JB HURTS.

In fact, when and if I go back OTR, I Will contact Werner Enterprise...hard to make money, but they treated me fair. So, when you start this new company and might want to do teams, get in contact with me via e-mail and I will let you know...you can ask one of the moderators on this site to make the contact. I would leave you my e-mail on here but do not want to break the rules of the site...:biggrin_2558:

Some companies will not hire a driver until a certain time has elapsed in between accidents or tickets,no matter what the fault lies on,their insurance companies may not accept you until a time has elapsed, like in the case of three tickets, you are unhirable until a ticket comes off. UPS used to fire drivers and let them go for even having accidents that were not their fault, they called it a safety issue and said you may be accident prone. This was true 20 years ago,not too sure about UPS now. JB can't stop you from getting another job,you have to try harder and convince a company to hire you and explain to the highest person in that new job you can get to,try that,be honest and sincere, prepare yourself and bring your copy of your DAC report with you and explain the truth or lies to that person hiring you. Bring some copies of actual reports with you from this forum to show them what JB does to folks like you, trying to succeed in a job you love and want. Don't take it anymore,go out and fight like he...,I would.

Well It looks like I will not be working for USA Truck I did show up for orientation in Van Buren,Ar. I walked in sat down and was told that I would be making 30 cents per mile!!! I was told 36 for my experiance they lied to me once again!!!!! Oh well I still have Roehl and Sharkey (STI) That wants to hire me. If anyone is reading this I was wondering what is covered wagon? I never drove one but Roel recruiter told me that its like flat bed except its a covered wagon? Anyways I just cannot decide which fleet to choose flatbed covered wagon or dry van?

Rad, WHY did you remove the first post? I have the letter saved, should I re-post it for you? I am confused as to why you took it out? Legal reasons?

That's basically what it is. If you remember the old western movies with the wagon trains and horse drawn carriages, that is what they look like.

Its possible the recruiter meant a curtain van, which is just a flat bed with a hard top, and curtains on the sides and back, you can load with flat bed freight with some restrictions and you can also load them from the back, as in backed up to a dock, but everything has to be strapped down

What you are referring to, a curtainside, is different than a covered wagon. Om a covered wagon you don't remove the tarp basically. You only remove sections as necessary.
