Do cdl permits transfer from different states?

    My son got his cdl B permit here in FL. I have a good job offer in TN. We were wondering if his permit will be accepted in TN, or will he have to start over?

    CDL permits only work for the state there in your son would have to take the exams all over again.

    A CDL License will transfer, a leaner permit will not. Unless this company is a training company, they will want to see a license anyway.
