Yea they will probaly put you with a guy named Billy if you go with deBoer. He's an older guy but I think is #2 or 3 in senority. He's cool I rode with him for about a week. Only thing though if it's hot he keeps his truck at artic temperatures. Other's have told me he keeps it like an oven during winter. He likes extreme temperatures that guy. He's very good at fine tuning though and that's why they send people to him. I assume you have read all my posts about deBoer, if you have any question ask here as I see you don't have enough posts for a P.M. Good luck.

Are U still DeBoer-ing? I found it too cheap of them for me to rent a car from CA one way to Texarkana to go to Orientation! I got no way to transfer all my existing truck stuff from my current company. And a "bunkhouse"? Good Gawd Maude! Better see 3200mi a week minimum to justify 31.5cents too. And that WILL get U tired. Flying Dutch wooden shoes are great logo though!

This is the second thread that I followed to have the O.P. drop it. This guy hasn't posted in two years. Is he still driving? I did invest a fair amount of effort in the thread to just drop it but like I said this is the second to do so (the other guy is still posting here and there but hasn't been back to his "Gone to School" thread).

I guess I'm disappointed. It's like a book that stops without and ending. :biggrin_2552:

I was in computers for 28 years. Same story, started with Deboer for three years and went to FVTC in Appleton WI. The people at the school were great. The best advice I recieved in training, from a veteran driver was to give this experience at least 6 months, then evaluate, but ultimately work towards driving for 2-5 years. After the fifth year re-evaluate, and decide where you want to be. I have been driving for 4 years now learned alot about the industry. It is definitely a learning experience and a life changing experience.

Hambeldon, I would be eternally grateful if you could work Contrails into your story.

I can pay in tinfoil hats.
