You guys heard anything about a terminal opening in Kingsport TN.?

They are advertising for drivers to get into the "ground floor" of the operation. Do you guys haul fuel only?

 

They are going to be hauling chemicals OTR and the Kingsport terminal is going to open soon.

They will be going into Canada too.

 

sleepers i would imagine, right? seems like alot of competition for one shipper: eastman chemical. there will be 6 companies fighting for those loads now.

Yep, sleepers. I would be kind of leary seeing how they never have been OTR. Let them work the bugs out. They were looking for terminal staff. That might be from outside the company.

So far my local experience has been great. I just can't see going OTR unless it was a huge increase in pay.

 

Do u guys have a choice to work nights and weekends or is that automatic like the rest?

 

I miss tanker work but right now freight pays good and the hours work for my family.

 

That is what you start out doing after training. I usually start at 1pm. That is not normal. Most do 5-5.

We loose a bunch of drivers. I have seen 3-4 go in 3 months.
