    Maybe this has been covered, but anyone know any good study guides, beside the manual on the DMV website, to help study for the CDL permit test in NYS?

    All the info you need is in the free study guide you got from the DMV, don't over think the problems and you'll do just fine.

    Thanks, by the way.....kinda nervous....I took the CDL C, but that was years ago.

    Just read the NYS CDL manual. The Test questions are all based on the info in that book.

    I passed all the the written tests in NYS just by reading the DMV book. The content is all pretty standard throughout the US and honestly it's a breeze if you study it carefully.
