I am going through the hiring process now with Indian River Transport. I have a friend who drives for them and highly recommended them. if they were a substandard company then I would not have been referred to them. The do have a questionable DOT score though. i've not seen it personally, but was told by friend who kept getting pulled into scales because of it. And they don't qualify for Pre-Pass either. That's the only down fall I see so far. They also do not require Haz-Mat either. So far through my process Indian river transport has been very accommodating. I'll keep yall posted in case any of you road warriors out there are interested. Sheriff john out!

Hi Drivers! I just read your posts on Injun River Xsport...I just started the hiring process with these guys..so far all I've heard has been pretty good. Im hoping i am making a good decision by leaving the comforts of my company and venturing out into the Tanker Yanker Community. Indian River came highly recommended by one of my former co-workers who drivers for them.

I'm in Southern California and apparently the Turlock Terminal Manager authorized my hiring process to continue and didn't have a problem with the distance from my home to the yard. Also, would allow me to bring truck home during off days and short home visits if I get loaded/drop in SoCal. I like them so far. If any of you Road Warriors can add anything about them, please post.

    John

The worst part about trucking is when I've been out for 6 weeks and under the impression that after I deliver its home time, but then they preplan ya for another takin you farther away and you ask wtf their doing, they say routing you toward the house, uhhh no your not then your ignored, and your fm is not at his desk at the moment.

Hi Drivenaway! i just read your outline on irt...i like what i hear. ive just started the hiring process with them in california. one of my co-workers hired with them and all good things to say about irt. he left recently for other driving job in new mexico hauling oil for much bigger money. my only concern is what ill bring home weekly, which i disclosed to them in the beginning. i guess we'll see. i'm excited about this new adventure into tank yanking, i'm an ice box and dry van usually. looking forward to a newer poor boy, but sad to leave my '07 poor boy (see photo on signature).

hi giants14701! i feel ya on that, in reference to your post. i typically do not trust anything im told by any recruiter (especially military). i can only hope they will do their best to accommodate me when it is possibly. i learned this in the marine corps, sheriff's department and last 4 years of driving. not sure if i saw it in your post, but do you currently drive for irt? if so, can you give me some other insight if possible? thanks bro!

I talked to Matt (head of operations) the other day, and asked if we are getting e logs soon. (like January) he said no, maybe after couple years. he say it is a two strike system now. get in trouble two times with d.o.t. and you are done. he then asked for my last name so he could look for me on the high points CSA list. and was pleased to not find me there.
