I think I may have found the problem, but now need a solution. Even if the doors are slammed shut they don't seem to seal 100%. You actually have to push from the outside of the doors until they seal 100%. I'm guessing I may need a door hinge adjustment?
-
Less hinge, more the latch. The striker on the door frame. The hinges would be for if you have a whistling around the doors.
-
How can I fix this?

I dont know on your equipment. On pickups it is a mushroom pin the door latches onto. On the older pickups for GM you could see a shadow where this has moved. It is simple enough to loosen the pin move it in (toward the seat) to make the door tighter, move it out to make the door drafty. Some frieghtliners the latch moves inward of their own just from closing the doors, it becomes a nuisance as drivers will need to slam their doors to get them to shut. Alas the slamming will most of the time make the pin move more inward.
In your case you may want to move it outward. Be careful tho because that latch assembly can move up and down and really mess you up. Another possibility would be to go to a auto body shop and ask them to adjust your door. -
The Cascadia cab is such a tight seal that you should have one (or both) of the windows (driver / passenger) cracked open a tad bit before closing the door. This allows air to escape while shutting the doors, creating the proper seal and automatically turning off the lights. : )Last edited: Aug 13, 2011

Interesting tip.. What if I'm leaving the truck for a few days it would be impossible to close the windows without opening the door.

Cascadia is rare truck here, but seems to me cascadia shares locks with actros with built in lock switches, so problem you describe is usually related with wrong locks/doors ajustment. Yep, easy to ajust mushroom pin in door frame, but check interior door handle cabel. if it is too tight, the same problem may appeare.

Yeah... if leaving the truck for a few days, you would have to push in on the door... making sure it latched. Another thing you could do is crack the sleeper windows a tad bit, just enough to allow the air pressure to escape while closing the door. I've found no problems ever since I've learned this trick.

Just had the same problem on a daycab. Parking brake alert,(apply brake) with beeping. Dome light also was stuck on, after slamming the drivers door again. Opened the passenger door, slammed it good. Problem solved. Sensor in the latch I imagine. Strange though, passengers doors been locked, not opened in a week. All of a sudden it’s a problem.
