Does anyone have a list of community colleges in California (northern) that offer CDL classes? I would much rather attend a community college than a "CDL mill" or "company school". Thank you very much! Steve

But BE WARNED, it appears that these Community College Programs offer nothing more than a 3 week JAM Course. -
this is true... community colleges don't have a truck school reputation either. and, many trucking companies wont hire you "new" unless you go to an approved CDL school.

Old thread, but wanted to add in case people are searching for the same:
The first two on that list aren't community colleges. They're vocational for-profit schools.
The Coalinga campus may only be contracting with company employees now. I have checked their website and sent a message, but their CDL-A is not listed anymore. It's on a special website.
I am still looking for ANY community college nearby that offers this, but it's likely to be just a bunch of for-profits. Because that's what stimulates the economy. Oy.
There is a C.C. in Long Beach, Calif. and that's in SoCal, and the only one I've found so far. -
In case anyone has the same question, there is West Hills community college in Coalinga, CA, that operates as a workforce training operation, but they are affiliated with the community college and it's called Westside Institute of Technology. But it's not an IOT, I believe it's an academic year calendar, not just 4 weeks. http://www.westhillscollege.com/district/about/partnerships/wit/courses.asp

why stay in CA if you're not close enough to drive to any school on a daily basis? I got my CDL WITH COLLEGE CREDIT but I live in Virginia. That said, Oklahoma & Florida have some cheap community colleges, do a web search on it. Do the math to figure out the cheapest route for yourself.
