New Husband/Wife Team

Hey everybody,
My husband and I are new to trucking and are looking at becoming a team. We come from very different backgrounds from trucking but know a lot about it since my Dad was a OTR driver for many years and is now a local fuel truck driver. I have always played with the idea but could never convince my husband to come with me or let me go alone. So, with that said and the recent struggles that we've come across in both our current career fields we've decided to give it a shot. We are currently awaiting financing approval to attend Roadmaster in Tampa early September as a team. We hope to get with either Steven's (my Dad's previous company) or US Xpress. Hopefully, this forum will give us some incite into this new world and any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to sharing our experience with everyone.
