I guess you moved all your $$$ into gold and are living high on hog now.

I started buying in 2007 after the election. After all, the level of government deficit spending as a percentage of GDP is a major indicator for the price of gold.

Busy as hell in the flatbed industry. Wife has worked for the Federal Government for 27 years, so no worry about any kind of layoff on her end.
Gas is always up and down, so you adjust. The big hit in the wallet is at the grocery store. Prices are shooting up faster than Obama's spending habits. I'm getting half the groceries at the same amount I was paying a year ago and it's only going to get worse.

Yeah I just noticed that the other day when i bought my regular groceries and there were $20 more. I understand though due to the drought and all of the farms drying up. Since food is a necessity, I am surprised they do not have emergency plans for when farm crops are dying and losing billions of dollars.

Perhaps a government funded blimp or a huge irrigation system that waters the crops during droughts. Back in the early 90's we would invest in good things like that to make life better.

I graduated college with 2, 4 year degrees. There are zero jobs in either of those fields, and I took a job driving so I wouldn't have to move back in with mommy like all of my other friends....

Fortunately, this is the most enjoyable job I've ever held :D

I haul auto parts. Surprisingly, it's going a bit better then one might think. Although, I do notice that my run gets cancelled a little more often then usual (once or twice every two weeks, instead of the previous once a month), but other then that, it's going along at a decent pace.
