I went to a hiring event they had here in Co. Springs back in February. The recruiter said their trucks have the Tri-Pac APUs.
-
Not sure, but they run mostly team so I wouldn't see the need for them.
-
i see your from colorado springs also who do you work for??
-
Right now, nobody. I came off the road Friday so I could start classes at Pikes Peak CC (they started yesterday). I was driving for a fleet owner in Elbert who leased his two trucks onto CRST Malone.
-
From what I can tell they all do. The trucks they run today are fancy compared to what they ran when I drove for them.

Other than training teams, Stevens does not run but very few teams. most of those are husband/wife.
All Stevens company and lease trucks have APUs. O/O may or may not, depending on their choice.
Stevens runs mostly Kenworths. They are phasing out the T-2000's as they reach 500,000 miles and replacing them with T700's. There are a small number of 660's. In addition, there are Petes. 389's and 589's and a few Cascadias.
By the way, since training teams don't run around the clock, the APUs are really nice when we shut down to sleep or when we're waiting on a load.
