I was in Trenton Saturday coming in for home time. Bill was in the classroom getting ready for you guys.
-
Day One is done and over. Bunches of paperwork, looked over a beer load in a trailer and got a quick how to secure and why to secure it. Have a total of 3 people in the class. So now on to day two.
-
Day 2 in the books. Hours of Service, Logs, and trip planning. Bill the instructor does a great job of giving you a ton of info but not making you feel overwhelmed by it all. On to day 3 which is suppose to be the Millis 500 and chicken Wednesday.

Ooooh your left knee and quad will be sore at the end of tomorrow. Lol!
-
The famous millis 500. Never did so many circles in my life, lol
-
The Millis 500 is done and over with. Being only 3 of us in the class we all got our own truck to drive around in and just switched out every couple hours. Reset the trip mileage on each one when I got in it adding the 3 together was something like 35 miles. My left leg is like jello right now. Think I saw Baritone in the yard not sure, he was on the phone while I was out of the truck so didn't get a chance to talk to him. Tons of fun so far,and it was Chicken Day.
A tip for anyone coming to school, use your full name on anything you sign, example: My full first name is Douglas, but I have always went by Doug, doesn't work when you sign something. Has to be full first and last with middle initial if you have one, also no doctor signatures has to be legible something I am working on all over again like 3rd grade. -
Good tip db. Keep in mind also to make sure your signature on your license and social security card and dot physical card are signed the same way.

It was me - why didnt you say something. I would have liked to meet you. I was just waiting to head to the "great customer of ours" - Saint Benard Soap!
I honestly would rather take an ##### Whoopin than to ever go back there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next time - holla at me! -
Day 4 in the book. In class all day studying coupling/uncoupling, backing, pre-trips. Lots to take in, but did get out on the range and actually back the truck and get it coupled, took a pull up to get straight but not bad all in all. Going well again is nice only having 3 people in the class so that we all have a truck and no waiting to do switch out seats to do something. So far nothing but high high marks for Millis and Bill.
Baritone, next time I see you will be sure to come up and say hi.
Almost forgot had 2 drivers nice enough to let us secure keg loads, one with a cargo net ( we learned how to "acquire" them ), straps and with straps only. Was a good learning exp.Last edited: Aug 25, 2011
