Before I decide to jump ship or not I want to ask you OTR guys if your gettin CONSISTANT miles? The miles in dedicated regional yard bird shuffle are falling off and curious as to tha miles U OTR guys was runnin. Easier to stay at same company and try something else than find a new job and drag up.

well gave Tyson the Dear John Letter, headed out this weekend for Orientation on Monday.Thank you everyone for your help in answering my questions. Not to toot my own horn, but I am a great driver with a great record,18 years no accidents no tickets, not even a DOT Inspection, believe it or not,in decent physical shape, and know the meat hauling business so I think JBS will be a good fit.Staying out for a month after Orientation,so that should tell me how things go.Any advice before orientation would be appreciated, like what kind of meals do they provide etc etc. Thanks all

Kyle bush fan Its a roller coaster. Most otr jobs have the same problem. I came out 2 weeks ago and didn't take a restart until sat after sitting 24hrs waiting for my 200 mile load to dallas out of dequeen to come out. Luckliy I was repowered by a guy who didn't want a load coming out of texas going to NC. So he brought me his load and I took 10 hrs off to make it a restart. I had only 1 1,000 mi load, until I got the repower. the rest were 400 and 500 mi loads that had late pick up and late delivery. They gave me this load out of nc going to texas. 1300 miler. Delivers tmrw so i was spared. Kinda feel sorry for tyson driver because he talked about the short hauls of tyson and they are doing the same thing here. I think because he is interested in training he should get the better miles. I would give otr a month or 2 because if you can live doing that regional then you can do this and you might even get by the house more. Normally I get pretty good miles but i can tell from the messages from dispatch alot of people are complaing about miles so I think its the economy. I been here a yr and a half and avg about 2500mi a week give or take I try for 5000 for the end of two week.

Runnin regional out of pittsburg tx for pilgrims-jbs we only get 200 mile runs if your on a good run,tom I have a 106 dh with a 68 lded mile run,so 174 miles in 24 hrs. it started last week, school also started last week too, maybe that's got something to do with it. I will give a few more weeks, might ask for a transfer to otr then but working 6 days a week for 1400 miles not goin to cut it,even if I am off every sunday.

I second that!! I got off the western regional because of miles and where am I at Utah sitting waiting for something. I guess since they are letting lose the orientation today they will Deadhead to Hyrum and get the loads with the miles.. I hope this company does not turn into a company like BLUE BIRD nothing but Regional..
