There isn't exactly a pay-phone on every block like it was 20yrs ago. If you do happen to find one chances are it's been vandalized.

The best service is that which is used by my teenagers that I do NOT have to pay for!
Tazz Thanks this. -

You won't find a good deal in a truckstop with a flip phone. You keep paying $75 a month with a commitment. I'll stick to my $45 unlimited with no commitment. Only difference between me and you is $30.
I got the Samsung 650C which is a $165 phone for $20. Refurbished, but you can't tell. Autopay and you don't worry about refills. You can buy the 3G phones too. But i'd rather not browse with a 2-3" screen. -
I have had At&t, T Mobile, and Verizon. Verizonhas the best coverage, and customer service. In my humble opinion..

If I was single I might try again Condo. Really left a bad taste in my mouth when I couldn't make a phone call for lack of signal but their horse apples "Meet singles in Nashville" came through just fine
I was just glad I decided to try it out before baling on AT+T.
5 phones at $215 is $43 a month so I pay what you do I just get a volume discount.
Plus every year or so I get a new phone in the mail.
But like I told him in the first post kinds like make of truck. Everyone has their favorite, and everyone has their horror story. -
Get a sprint Evo. Its definitely a good phone and it's only 100$ dollars now. Mine gets decent reception and when I need to dispute my bill with sprint and they always correct or explain the reasoning behind a hike in my bill.

I would be great if everyone would have told me "get company x phone it is the best and the cost is low" lol no such luck. Thanks to all who have posted..it looks like I can at least go to the phone stores with more than "do you have anything here that is better than this old piece of crap I have now"Tazz Thanks this. -
Okay service provider aside if you want a smart phone, an HTC is the only way to go I got my evo when it first came out and it is hands down the most reliable and surprisingly tough phone I have ever had. VZW calls it a thunderbolt. It's the same phone, and I'm pretty sure u can get an HTC on straight talk. Glad we could offer all of our varying opinions. From smart phones to smart phones it has all been touched here!

Another nice thing is you can get NETFLIX on your smart phone. Great for down time.
