Sounds like you're not going thru the right channels. The dispatcher is not the end all be all at a company. If I was you I would call the company, as to speak to the vice president of operations.

For any driver reading, or potential driver that is reading this....
Have an emergency fund. When a situation like this occurs where you are sick to the point that you need to be in the hospital, park the truck in a safe place notify the company, and get yourself to a hospital. Have an ambulance dispatched if needed.
Too many mis communications can occur over a telephone, especially if you are dealing with a dispatcher. You don't go to your dispatcher for "permission" to park the truck and go to the hospital, you just go. If the company is smart, and has the manpower, they can dispatch a truck to repower the freight, or they can get it delivered via other options.
A dispatcher is there to manage the loads and ensure they get where they need to go, and do their best to help the driver in most situations. We all know that many of these guys are rookies themselves, so the last thing we should do is put our health in their hands.
I can't put a big load of blame on the company here. This was an emergency where the driver needed immediate medical attention, they didn't need to be requesting permission to drive the truck home.
That said, I hope that everything turns out well for your sister. It sounds as though there are some health issues here indicating she very well may not need to be going out driving OTR anymore at this point. -
One sister is ill, the other sister is a truck driver that can't get home to be with the family.

I'm glad that I am not the only one who misunderstood this thread. I honestly thought that the sick sister was the one driving the truck too!
-
We are trying to get the sister that is a trucker home because our other sister health is deteriorating.
Sorry if I have miscommunicated, It's been one bad week. -
Thanks for clearing that up, hun! I hope that it all gets better from here.
