Have you ever worked in the meat business before?thats just how it works, and to be honest I think Doc is telling the truth about his runs,i have been watching his posts over a yeatr and they are pretti consistent, you need to realize that driver attitude can make or break you in this business, sometimes if you just say something in an itellegent calm to your fm things get better, I have dispatched before and i know how rude drivers can be,but if things dont pickup after the discussion then its time to move on.I am not trying to be a d*** but this post just wreaks of driver attitude.

All I've done is meat except for 3years doing Jb Hunt budwieser. I Worked local meat hauling and the 4months I was with my training company. I have watched his comments as well, and that why I came on here because 1 min he saying he can do 4200 miles on e logs and the next he quiting talking about this job is not meant for him and he has lawyers and all kinds of stuff talking about he can't talk about it online. Now he is back running 4200 miles again.. Brother Good luck at ever speaking to your dispatcher over here. Everytime you get a good dispatcher they move them to another board or higher up. Bro I'm just asking if you read this post for over a year how many other drivers beside him are getting those kinds of miles. All companies have there favorites so I don't doubt they could give him those miles, but I'm speaking for the avg driver who comes over here and don't cook for the office staff and kiss up to them. I like this job because I don't bother them and they don't bother me. I haven't been in the dispatch office in over a year and don't even know what my dispatcher look like or care 2. I'm still here because as I said it has just recently gotten bad and I've been getting alot more bad loads then good, and when you see people telling people we got the miles and all these people are being layed over I wouldn't want them to leave after they got here and all they got was 2200 miles instead of those big miles they heard about on this site as I said all depends on location. I'd rather tell these guys the avg, and what somebody who has been here longer then he has is getting then the above avg. If you want to add more minutes to your phone by being on the phone on hold or leaving voice mail after voice mail. Then have at it bro but next time super trucker comes on (anyone) just ask them where have they been and they will go AFK . I showed you what I did and all the time I set to get a crappy load and after a year and a half I'm use to them so its another day at the office. But I wish you well here at Jbs mr tyson, and hope you have more good days then bad days and stay awhile. Not trying to run nobody off I'm just telling people what to expect. Have a good day.

Do the math bro you are not on your way to 3800 miles with that load. They gave you 6 days to get 1700 miles when you can do it in 3. You will be doing a lot of posting when you start your restart sunday.:biggrin_25513:

i have been in the busness a long time and with JBS since they opened the doors...it is an up and down deal here....4 pres. in 3 yrs and i dont know how many times they have fired all the upper mangement...but here is the deal...we have all been enjoying decent miles the last few months...but this industry slowes from now till around Oct....then it will go nuts till the 1st of the yr....then big drop till the 1st week of april....then slow pick up though out summer....it does this each yr and will not stop anytime soon....so when ya get a few weeks of shorter miles...deal with it...we have some big changes going on right now(AGAIN).....for the better i thank...time will tell...as for the whole miles thing....if you avarege 2500 a week you have nothing to ##### about....thats an Avg. people....you have to be here a yr. to find out if your making it...and ill bet if you last that long you will see it.....oh and I pick up big ro monday .....so he can start his trucking carrer

I can tell there are alot of newbies, and I just warn them now of the truck driver stories. When they say" You are not going to believe this...." Don't!!! I remember when I was new and coming out thinking I was going to break the bank and it broke me. Funny how 13 years ago I came out driving and was paid 300 dollars a week 2. and if you made 25 to 28 cents a mile you were top of the pay scale. Its sad to see people are still paying 300 dollars a week while they are being trained. I hope you guys have strong marriages or single. Well God's blessings to you all have a good nite and a better weekend.

Anyone know if they have safe overnight parking at Southern Wine and Spirits of Illinois in Bolingbrook ,IL near Chicago? How about the Pilot on I-80 exit 122in Minooka,IL? Have an early morning delivery there next week and want to beat the traffic.

    My two cents.................

hazmatt777, for the love of god man use some paragraphs!.................:biggrin_2559:

Miles - I think everybody knows miles have dropped off some, its the reefer business, it happens every year, I finished todays pay period with 4,576 miles and while I would love to have more miles, I can live with that every now and then!

I will not go into details but I have spoken with people who know some things and I will let them decide if they want to post any details but from what I hear it sounds good to me!

A bigger paycheck would be nice but it's not everything! Having worked for a couple of bottom feeders I can tell you that IMHO JBS is one of the better places to work!

Honestly if I was offered a job somewhere else running a guaranteed 3000 miles a week in an old Freightshaker that I wasn't allowed to idle at all I would turn it down!

Picked up in Russellville AL yesterday. What a CLUSTERF^&CK!

The way they run that plant is simply retarded! They make you weigh in when you get there for a DROP AND HOOK? I tried to explain to the ppl there that it makes NO SENSE to weigh trk/trlr empty unless your going to load me live! EVERY truck and trlr weighs a different amount!

You also have to weigh when you leave so you end up with a bottleneck at the exit/entrance as trucks are waiting to be weighed! After you weigh your loaded trailer you have very little room to bust a U-Turn in the road and go back into the plant! (NOT VERY SAFE)

EVERY SINGLE TRUCK WAS OVERWEIGHT! they had to re-work all of us, while I was there I saw 8 loads being re-worked. (CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY I HAD TO WAIT IN LINE TO WEIGH MY EMPTY TRAILER IF THEY ARE JUST GONNA PUT WHATEVER THEY WANT IN IT ANYWAY?):biggrin_25510:

I would avoid that Pilot if possible, some idiot designed the lot! Very hard to get around in it! Only go there as a last resort!
