I just talked to my recruiter and asked about the incident on my dac that I did not know was there. I asked if I would need any supporting documents. She said;"because it states that it is a non-preventible, you will need no other documents".

great news, the reason they don't check much of anything before you show up is that 40% of the per-hires never show up so why spend the time and money checking people that are going to be a no-show, 40% of the ones that do show up don't make it only 20% of the pre-hires make it to a truck...! yes they are picky and if you have anything to hide they WILL find it.

Wanted to say hello to all US Express drivers. Been reading for weeks now and hubby goes to orientation in Tunnel Hill tommorrow 8/27! Thanks to the posts we are hoping this is a good choice. Hopfully, I will be going to school for my CDL in a few weeks to team with him, but for now he will have to team with someone else! Hoping he survives orientation as he went thru training with another co in January and ended up leaving after 11,000 miles driven and no upgrade due to trainer personality issues. Yes, he got is CDL in Dec, 2010. Will keep posted of how orientation goes!

What kind of drug test did they give you? piss or hair

 

They do a urine test.

 

How does there pre-hire process go? I'm looking to start training at a local driving academy to get my cdl in a few weeks and was wondering if they have some kind of program which will let me go ahead and get my cdl with the acedemy without paying so much money up front?....does that make sense to anyone? lol
