ive driven both t2000 (put in about 6000 miles on this) and pete 387( put in about the same miles as on the t2000), would not like to drive either again.

im a big long nose pete fan, love w 9's also, but if you have mpg goal of 10 i would go more aero dynamic

Cammins N14 plus, some of friend say cat c15 dont know anything about cat.

I was a huge fanbot of the T2000 and 387 until I started driving them when looking for my truck. I would have rather bought a Century.
pre-EGR is good direction. A lot more can be done, be done on your own and for less money. And if you are looking to make it a project you can find plenty for cheap on the market. Better used truck prices are going up. A lot being bought and going out of country. -
Mothballs work good, no damage. Been using them for years.
As a matter of fact, since 1973. My first bike was a 1966 Honda SuperHawk. A lead sled with no power. I polished out the carbs and adjusted the jets (Holly carb jets interchanged with them) and dropped one mothball in the tank for more power. It worked great, too. Used it in a 1966 T-Bird, 1968 Toronado, 1969 F-100 pickup, 1977 LeBaron, and every truck I've owned.
For gasoline engines, one mothball for every 5 gallons seems to work good. In a big truck, one 48 oz box in each tank does well and you can use more or less, won't do any damage.
The valves on these new engines are TOUGH, they're meant to keep working through a cloud of recirculated exhaust soot. The less soot you have, the less grit in your valves and oil, so it's a win-win.
Electronic engines take awhile to adjust to changes in fuel quality, driving habits, changes in tuning or even different fuel and air filters. So putting mothballs in one tankful of fuel won't change much- seems like you'll see the maximum benefit after running two or three tanks full through the motor.

Nope, this truck's a Mercedes EGR motor. I've got a friend that's using mothballs in his 2012 motor, he says it regenerates less than it used to and mileage is up. -
I am with you on the T2000 to me they are nothing more than a parts truck!

Wait till all the emissions stuff in the passenger side step box starts going bad.
I would rather stick with a Cat 6NZ 550hp, Preferably in a W9
