I have a load from Dow of insulation and it was loaded pushed up into the bulk head. I can’t get the front sealed off tight enough to keep the air out. Ballooning is not bad and not doing damage but what suggestions do you have to stop this on future loads.

Get rid of the bulk head. I dont like it cause when I need to over hang in the front I cant due to the bulk head.

Yeah, I was thinking that but need to look at my options for for chains and binders. My tractor is alread to heavy for this and don't want to put a rack on it and move more weight forward. I have a crappy tool box I was thinking of creating a way to hang the chains in and getting adding another larger box.

But with what I have do you have any suggestions?

Was also going to PM you on tips on how you use the "rope" rather than bungees. Guy loading at the same place yesterday was doing it but was all p issy with me when he saw I was getting $.75/mile than he was from same broker. Like that is my fault.

But he was tarped in half the time of the rest of us and it was tight. Just couldn't get a good look at what he did.

That could work. Couple sharp spots in front of board kept me from doing that this time. Guess I will get the grinder out next time I'm home and fix those. And if before then will tape them off.

I have a box that sits in between the frame(tractor) and have all my chain's in there.

i agree with six pack tarp the head board also.

next time dont let them push it all the way up. you only need about 2 incches space. or put the tarp flipped over the head board before they load you

plus straps work better some times than chains depending on your load. u can strap over the tarp. if its ballooning

Asked them not to push forward but because I was already going to hang over the rear they wouldn't do it. Learning as I go.

Was going to fix it right now despite less than 250 miles to go but with step on the board I would have to slide the tarp forward a couple inches to make work. AND that is not going to happen on this load.

    Live and learn.
