    hello,
    i was wonderin if any of your guys or gals out there have broadband cards. for your laptop are thay worth it? whats a good company? how much do thay cost? and is truck stop wifi rubbish or is it ok??

    Yes...its worth it TO ME.

    I have Verizon...

    $80 per month (10GB plan)

    Some truck stops wifi is great...others is crap (most are crap, especially in the evenings when traffic is high)

    I gave up on the internet card and went to sprint's hotspot. i would occasionally break the wafer inside when laptop fell off it's perch. hotspot will support more than 1 device.

    Use neither..tether my Droid to the laptop..unlimited data plan.

    i use verizon's mifi. $57 a month for 5gb (with insurance).

    If I need to download something big or something, I'll just drop the money for truck stop wifi.

    You may look at the virgin card, they are 40.00/mo with unlimited. first 5gig is full speed, after that its throttled to 256k, they run on the sprint network.
    But I plan on teathering my droid as well.

    is the mifi pretty much a wireless router that puts out a signal?
