It's not that I'm hating on you, I just don't buy the story because it never happened to me with the various companies I drove for. Pre-existing damage is not your fault, you should have taken that to court (if that story has any truth behind it). That's a shady outfit that needs to be taken off the map. Like I said, I've picked up plenty of trailers that looked like they went through a chipper, and I didn't get charged with a accident.
My o.t.r. Career is over.....

I can understand most thing's ok, but what get's me , if you drop a trl in the yard or droplot and you walk away from it in good shape and no flat tire's, and pick your load up in the same lot, then 5 day's latter you get charge for 4 flat tire's, and they charge you , becuse the tire's had slow leaks or some ram head tractor jockey pulls your trl and in docking ram's your dot bumper into the next trl and makes a smiley face outa it, how can they say you did that and charge you, once you drop that trl, you are free from it, so i guess i dont know how they could of charge you for that, or did i read this wroung and with a cheap sony digtal camera such as mine i got mine off e bay $89.00 with everything, , sears sells em for $456.00 i be taking thisa along now and taking pics of my drop trl and hold it like my log book, keep the pic's for last 7 day's ,after that , i'd say it's fair game.

Ok let me help some ppl. That DONT buy the issue i had with that empty trailer issue.. I DROP THAT EMPTY TRAILER IN A SMALL DROP YARD IN KEARNY,NJ THIS IS A SHARED DROP YARD WITH 5 OTHER TRUCK COMPANY 1 OF THE COMPANY IS A CONTANIER CO. THERE ARE CONTAINERS STACK ON TOP OF EACH IN THIS YARD...A B/S SECURITY GUARD THIS IS A LARGE TREE AREA.. ON 9/2010 NYC WAS HIT WITH A SMALL TORNADO 2 DAYS AFTER THE NYC SCHOOL YEAR STARTED.. NYC AND THE BOROS AND NJ, CT, WESTCHESTER CO, WERE HIT NOT BIG DAMAGE JUST ALOT OF TREE DAMAGE,, TREES FALLING ON CARS THREW WINDOWS IN SOME HOMES..
I BELEAVE THE DAMAGE TO THAT TRAILER WAS FROM THAT TORNADO HIT...... THAT TRAILER SAT THERE FOR 3 DAYS BEFORE I GOT A CALL FROM SAFETY ABOUT DAMAGE TO THE TRAILER THIS WAS A TOTAL OF 5 DAYS THIS IS WERE MY ARGUEMENT WAS WHEN I TRIED TO FIGHT THIS WITH DAC,, IF YOU DONT BUY IT KNOW GUESS WHAT,,, WHO CARES,,,,, I KNOW I DROP THAT TRAILER IN THAT YARD IN TACK I HAD THAT TRAILER FOR 3 DAYS P/U LOADS IT WAS IN TACK WHEN I HAD IT AND IT WAS IN TACK WHEN I DROP IT... -
I believe that part, and the bad part is you really have no way to prove it to dac. If you look at it from the other side of the story your former employer has no way of knowing whether you damaged the equipment or if it was weather related. It is messed up that they dac'd it on you, but it happens to a lot of ppl. I know (red) star transport is bad about that stuff, my bud had to stay home once bc his dad was in the hospital so they said fine we will send someone to get your truck because we can't have it sitting for 4 more days. And once he is better you can come back to Morton, IL and get another truck assigned. Well they came and got the truck and when he tried to go back to work they terminated him and put abandonment on his dac. Even with proof that his father was in the hospital he still can't get it cleared. Several ppl have offered some great advice, if you have 2 years verifiable experience then look to smaller company's and the day you put in an app explain everything up front and in detail. Whether you believe me or not being honest holds a lot more weight than a dac report with some people.
The Challenger and Everett Thank this. -

I dont have JACK,,, on my MVR,,, no moveing violations, speeding, or disobeying traffic devices, etc. etc..... So on that tip ( MVR ) IM GOOD!!!!roehl929 Thanks this. -
I cant stand how you type, it drives me right up the wall. I'm going to try to be positive though. Your in NYC, why not go back to straight truck hauling fuel to all these job sites or cement or dump trucks. When I was delivering pipe to the world trade center location I saw TONS of straight trucks in manhattan, way more straight trucks running around than tractor trailers. Most of them were union gigs (I know because the steward harrassed me every time I pulled on to that site) and they probably pay a fair wage. Something to look into, I can drive T/T just fine but I dont because driving tri-axle gets me home every night and this specific job pays me quite well.
