Oustanding work, Thanks OOIDA!
OOIDA Media Thanks this. -
I would not have a problem with a data recorder that recorded the that 5 minutes of vehicle data, but I do have a problem with ANY device that can shut the truck down, based on an arbitrary time limit.
I understand why the BFI's have their panties in a bunch over this, but if they were to hire quality drivers and pay them a living wage, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FMCSA VIOLATIONS!!!!! -
So what now? Will they not just appeal to a higher court? E.O.B.R's do nothing but make a person run 100% legal tired or not. I say follow the money. Its nothing to do with safety it has everything to with control. These mega-carriers can afford these upgrades and have more capacity to handle the forced out of hours shutdown.

One question I do have. Has anyone said rather or not, they will put a number on the amount of trucks a company will have before they force EOBR's on them?

This is just another way for the goverment to nickel and dime and control people. They are trying to take over every aspect of our lives
