I just drove around a few cities today for five hours but it felt like I was only gone for 45 minutes. The only part that sucked was having to return home! I really hope that I will enjoy driving a truck the same. I cannot wait to get out there! I will retake my air brakes test again tomorrow. I hope I won't get screwed again lol.

Study study and study. Don't worry. When you get out there you might find the miles will go by so fast, you will get to be one of us. Old, tired and still glad to be
A Driver. Good luck to you.

    NewNashGuy Thanks this.

Even after all of this time I still cannot wait to get into a truck :) I believe and really hope that I will love it. The weirdest thing is that now I am reminded of memories from when my dad was in the military and we drove on the interstate alllllllllllllllllllll the time and slept in the car. I loved the road trips as a kid, and all I remember is seeing an interstate all the way up until the age of 12. I believe I have the life of the road in my blood.

There were times recently when I visited other states and didn't mind sleeping in my car! I only got a hotel because the girlfriend was with me, but I would have been fine sleeping in my car. I really hope this works out for me and every day I wake up I cannot wait for class to start and for me to get out the door and get hired.

Driving can come in handy with trip planning ;) Its one of the few things that I could carry over from truck driving. Looking up rest stops and gas stations, or putting your exits on sticky notes before hand always worked for me.

I'm the same way, I loved passing time so fast driving a bus so now I'm in school for driving a truck.
