Headed to Roehl 08/07/11.

I had butch and Keith when I was there last month but I heard Keith went to phoenix to head up training there....
Now as for me being in marshfield well that lasted an hour until night dispatch needed an mt reefer hauled to Sara Lee in new London.. Now that I am out of hours for the day I have to take my ten here and it smells like summer sausage and it makes me hungry.... So I guess getting a different truck is delayed unless my fm gets me to marshfield again tomorrow.... Grrr I was so looking forward to a shower and a small bunk room (my cornbinder doesn't have an amp and we all know how roehl loves idling)

 

Well got back to marshfield and my truck vpacked up and turned in.. But my new ride is in new jersey and its an 07 frieghtshaker... I didn't get a choice after all.. But on the good side at least it has an apu hopefully it works..

 

So what did ya get for a truck?? I had to go recover a truck in new jersey cause I was told they didn't have anything in the yard (yeah ok) I haven't laid eyes on it yet because we have to drop a guy in ohio and then I get to go to jersey and pick up a 2007 freightliner with an apu.. Hopefully its in good shape....
But way to go on ur test!!!!!

 

If its an 07 Freightliner it probably has a Detroit Diesel Series 80 under the hood. They tend to be louder than the rest of the industry...LOL! You'll get used it just like I have. You learn to turn it off whenever you have to open the window to talk to anyone.

 

Well made it to the truck in jersey.... Looks like the driver got canned after perusing the messages in the qualcomm.... Overall the truck is in decent shape inside and out but morning light will reveal more and my camera is at the ready... The only problem I see right now is that the airride seat doesn't work and #### near sits on the floor and the arm rest is broke off..gonna have to get the airride fixed or I am gonna destroy my body on some of these rough ### roads... a plus is the the apu works good....
I know from perusing the qualcomm looks like the driver got canned... Too many late deliveries or something about a citation.... Not cool...
The trip out was uneventful but comfy in the rental car I had 2 others with me picking up trucks as we went long the last guy is going to mass. The thing that bothers me is Noone mentioned I had to pay for all the tolls and fuel to get out here and I had to tap into my reserved fund to get here.. I know I'll get it back but #### they could have at least let us use our comdata card to put fuel in the car..and given us an en pass for the freaking tolls... Oh well at least the trucks in goo shape and only has 430k miles on it.....

 

I found that I am more comfortable with all the air dumped out of the seat and sitting as low as it will go. But I know everyone is different so good luck with the truck.
