We were thinking Dole actually... still are. Its hard though - our DM this last week/week and a half has done really well getting us miles - however - once we decide and lets say stick with her - what will happen then? AND if we decide not to go, and things go to pot - will the opportunity still be there?
Arg - decisions/decisions!!

Looks like I'm stuck at Wal-mart, Central won't take me because I was terminated from Roehl back in 2006.
-
I was only there for 6 months. Guess I screwed that up. Even though I did perfect on everything I did in school and in orientation at that company, I had two incidents in my first month on my own. Then 5 months later after I had just got out of the truck opened the trailer, then checked and got back in the truck and some guy had somehow pulled up to the blindside, what sucks is I remember the dock being so small I had my truck in a wierd angle from the trailer and ended up tearing a piece of trailer corner. A week later I was headed home on a bus and they told me I could work for another company still but I was filling out my other applications wrong. So I ended up back at Walmart after that. Now that comes back to bite me in the ###. Said they couldn't get me on because I didnt leave my last driving job in good standings

that sucks. try some other places. maybe a small local company near you

Lady k,
Kraft dedicated rocks! Like the other driver who posted that's on Kraft we have EricE out of wvc. We do 90% drop and hook-woo hoo!
Miles are good and Eric actually answers if you do have to call, a definite plus after our last DM. Milt does the west coast and he's really good too, been running for both and we are happy!!
I think dole is hard to get on with-don't know, we were told that about Kraft too!!Zogg Thanks this. -
But as a team, dole is the way to go. Ken is a better dm than eric, and at least he won't do things against company protocol over and over (like eric did on wal-mart, which is why he went to kraft). From what we have talked about, dole is your best bet. You can do it.
Lady K Thanks this. -
I don't know much about Dole, other than we've had the account forever, bt they never send out messages saying they're adding teams. We don't live in the right area for Dole anyway, so it's pretty much a moot point.
I've known folks to run Dole, and they stay busy. Sadly, that's all I can tell you. -
Try some small local distribution company that has their own drivers. If you live near a major airport, even better. Most if the freight forwarders there are really small companies that pay pretty low so they have mostly part timers who don't give a **** or ones that don't speak English and well most if the companies don't check DAC. Get in one of those in the warehouse and volunteer driving services when their drivers call in sick. Then when you list them as an employer, put "warehouse / driver" if you are still working for them, you technically would be leaving tour LAST driving job in good standing. Then check your DAC and fix any inaccuracies.

Milt does both coasts. He's my DM, though I am considering a switch. My old pre-kraft dm is working kraft now.
