I have a new guy question... I assume Central Refrigerated only uses reefer trucks - thus the name? so you transport food?
-
You pretty much transport everything. From food to dead people. Refrigerated or not. Hazmat too! I have hauled plates for the US MINT, beer, ice cream, photo developing chemicals for xrays, dead bodies from hurricane Katrina, candy bars, tv's you name it, pretty much have hauled it.
-
Dead bodies?? Are you serious?? Wtf.... Wow..... That's a bit freaky.

Well for those of you that might be interested - we have decided to remain with our current DM. We did tell her that we would give her 2 weeks to improve our miles or we would go dedicated. They improved... so we kept our word. My concern mainly was that the improvement wouldn't stick once we stayed and then our window of opportunity with Dole would close - but it sounds like that window will remain open a crack IF we have problems again.
I must admit I do like the variety (for the most part). Different destinations and routes and products. Now for her to keep up the good work

Will they have to install the radio? What about linears?
-
Radio you do your self or have a cd shop do it if you want.

Some local foodservice companies (stack, us foodservice, etc) pay more than central would. Birite here in the bay area is paying $19-22 /hr.mikley28 said: ↑Mind if I ask where you went? With my minor backing accidents (3) and a DAC that says "Eligible for Re-hire?: Under Review" from Central, I don't think Central wants me back.
I called the guy who does re-hires for Conley today, he took my name and driver code and said he would call back in a few mins.. never heard from him. I'm thinking they're giving me the run-around cause they don't want me back.
I was thinking trying a local company, but they're regional and union so goodbye decent moneyClick to expand...
I assume you got a copy of your DAC? Just like a credit report, your DAC is regulated by FCRA and anything on it can be disputed and central had 30 days to responsed to the dispute. The rehire part, you can't do anything with. Just work around it like I did. If you are going to dispute the backing accidents then I suggest you do it yourself and save the $189 that DACfix.com is going to charge you.Click to expand...JimBad Thanks this.
