I have to say that I am a happy with Werner driver. I have had my times that I have hated the company but what can you say? Most people have their days. If anyone wants some info on them I will be more than up front and honest with you about them!! I have ran a few different accounts with them and I am more than willing to give you my opinion of them. I have been with them for over a year now. I am a real driver out there and not some cubicle jockey trying to make a company sound better than they really are.
FYI, I take home, take home, around 6-900 weekly with them and do not sit very often more than a couple hours waiting for loads. It usually is a screw up somewhere if I have to sit very long. I run solo and usually are home weekends. Time home varies weekly with load.
Any questions I will try to answer them for you. I am not on here alot so if you dont get a response right away please check back as I will try my hardest to get back to each. Unless this post "blows up".
Thank you all!!! Please be safe out there and be friendly to each other!! Dont forget to GOAL and not be affraid to do it!!!

Hand101, Glad to hear someone is happy with Werner. I'm a noob to the industry after a career change and was curios about Werner. I'm in school for my class a and have 3 weeks left. I've been pre-hired by Werner but was a little put off by all the negative posts about the company. they do have what I want, rider/ pet policy newer equipment and take home trucks ect......... how are the trainers and how long were you out on the road for training, i figured i'd be out at least a month. thanks in advance for the answer.

I'm going to cdl school in St Petersburg. At the end of my first week a previous (around 2 years ago) graduate came in, and the teacher had her go to the front of the class so we could ask her questions. She said she started with Werner and loved it. Was with them for a year. Thanks for your post.

Uh oh. Gotta be careful or the Holy Flying Monkeys are gonna get you!

Honestly, Werner is one of the national "training" companies I'm looking at. I began my search a couple of months ago and am going in with my eyes open. I know I will be "the new guy" in a training company with a lot of other newbies and will be mistreated, forgotten, given lousy (or no) miles, might not get the best truck or trainer in the fleet, and won't get the hometime or stops when and where I need them until I have shown that I can deliver a load on time, without damage to the customer or the truck, and that I am willing to keep learning.
It's all part of "starting at the bottom" in a pretty hard industry that is, itself, going through a safety-related transition mandated by the DOT. Any good information you can give will be much appreciated. I know there must be happy, smiley campers at Werner.
One last thing. What is "GOAL?" I've seen it but it's never been defined. -
