Hi,
I just changed my airbag leveling valve. It is all adjusted and seems to be doing a fine job now. Thanks again to all of you for your input.
I am curious, what is an acceptable leak down rate on the bags once the engine is no longer running? I have checked the bags for leaks with soap and water. I am not finding any leaks at all and I hear no escaping air pressure anywhere else. It does not take too long for the bags to deflate if there is a trailer hooked up.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I can park my truck friday night and monday morning they are still up (with empty trailer on)FredW Thanks this. -
Thanks Dave. I guess I need to start looking for a leak someplace else then.

I had the same problem with my old truck. After sitting over the weekend the suspension would be completely down, but I couldn't hear any leaks. I unhooked the leveler valve and raised the suspension until the bags were fully inflated and found a very small leak that was underneath the roll on the bottom of one of the bags.

I have had new bags leak within a month, where one or more originals did not.

Hi Gunner 76,
That is a good tip on raising the bags to look for the leak. Mine may well be leaking there and I missed it with the soap and water. I will check it that way. Thanks!

Hi Heavyhaulerss,
If my memory serves me your truck is similar to mine. It is a 1995 International 9200 with DD60 11.1L.
Is so, is this a common problem on these trucks? Is there any other place I should look for a leak other than just the bags?
Thanks,
Fred -
I had an airbag leaking on the back of my cab that could only be heard if I had just driven thru an extreme downpour and everything was completely soaked. Just spraying it I never heard a thing.

Thanks, that makes it sound tricky to isolate. Is there a better way to find these leaks? I hate to change out any bags that are good. I am guessing they are not cheap for my truck. The bags on there now are Goodyear and inflate to 12.5 inches when adjusted properly. Would you guess I am looking at $100 per bag or more?

I would check like gunner76 said, also have you checked the air fittings on the airbags with soapy water?
FredW Thanks this.
