Check every air line from the front to the back of the truck . Just because the bags are deflating doe not mean that is where the leak is .
I had a leak under my dash for the A/C switch that would deflate the system . So air it up shut it off and start spraying like a tomcat in heat !!! LOL

Hi Aussiedave,
I have checked all the fittings but I will do it again a little more closely. My leveling valve was leaking and I was certain that was the entire source of the problem but with your comments I am thinking it was only part of the problem.
All the best,
Fred -
Brilliant plan Marmonman. I will do just that. It is an older truck and I suppose the leak could be anywhere just as you said.
Thanks,
Fred -
mine is a coe. the rest is the same. ya know even on my trailer a 94' transcraft. I had 3 new air bags & 1 original, the old one looked dry rotted on the outside, anyway one day in the rain, I just got offloaded & the bags were stretched out. all 3 new bags had leaks, very small, but they leaked. the new one had zero leaks. I replaced the old one & have all new. the new ones will not likely blow, but they will leak. I mention to my neighbor who has a dump truck co, has 14 trucks. he says the 9 year old trucks may drop 10-20 lbs of air pressure overnight, from 5 pm to 7 am while the 2 brand new trucks lose their air pressure down to 40 lbs. they just do not make things with quality in mind anymore.

The best thing is a completely silent spot.
If you can find a shop somewhere at night time, park inside and close up all the doors. Check for leaks with it fully aired up and just listen as close as you can.
Of course, sometimes they are leaks you just can't hear, and sometimes don't find for a year! -
The air leak that took me the longest to find was on the top of the transmission, pulled the shifter boot to fix it.

one thing I found out about an air leak. once you find & fix it, another one WILL take it's place.
