What is that, about $2.00 per mile?
That would be a major reason to stay out of the state. -
Nahh, about 50 cpm to start, then about 67 cpm.
Still too much, although it seems like NY charges that much... -
This, and the proposed I-80 toll will make the State a whole bunch of money in the short term. In the long term, it will just driver out businesses, and the state will find itself in a hole.
Truck drivers wont ultimately be paying for this. Shippers will do to higher freight rates, then receivers will due to higher product costs, then the stores, then the customers. Crap rolls downhill. -
Am I wrong? As I understand it, federal law does not allow a state to impose a toll on an interstate highway unless there is a non-toll route that is comparable. I-76 is the toll route, I-80 can't become one unless someone has changed the law. That should also apply to I-81 in Virginia unless somehow they consider I-95 on the eastern side of the state a "comparable" route.

Whats worse about this toll road crap is that you have to pay your mileage taxes and then pay toll on top of that. What a rip off.
