I got busted for pot once....

Hey all,....I've been reading for a few days and wanted to make sure I could still be a trucker? It has now been 5 years that I got busted at the beach with some babe I picked up at the bar, I had a joint on me and was charged for it.

That sucked! I just was screwing off with my life waiting until the kids were grown (single dad) so I could get the job I really wanted. Life gets boring when you have to stay home all the time, you guys may not know that because you don't get home much. But when your the only one your kids have....well, sometimes you get bored ya know? I love my kids and took really crappy jobs mostly factory and did whatever I could to pay the bills

Fell into depression, and just ended up hanging around with the wrong crowd.
Pretty stupid of me, but I pay for that every time I think about it! I was very careful not to ever get a dui though........anyway The companies I talked to said they don't mind because that was years ago, and I guess after 5 years, some guys can have a new start ya know?

To break it down,.......43, 1 pot charge,no dui's, good driving record, no money to start new life, desire to live on the road like you fine folks, kids now grown, no wife, no plans but having the job I always wanted, ....oh, and am clean to! no pot, drinks , blow, or any of that!

I want a REAL new start......that means nothing I used to do.......all bran new! I was talking to pumpkin,swift,jb....these guys are what seem to be really wanting me....they all do that I'm sure........But where to start, I went to the local dvm and picked up a cdl training book.........I have no money and am out of work....need a job like yesterday...............my life is all screwed up because I was never allowed to be a trucker!......I hate my ex!!!!!!!...............sorry, lost my head. and thanks for reading.

 

Wow thanks for the pep guys,....Yes, no strings at all.....YES!!! take the world by storm, I have always wanted this........I feel so good about it too!
I just know this is gonna be the change that made my life finally happen!!!!! I knew it in my heart all along................No, I should not blame my life on my ex, I did make some mistakes myself. and...............anyway I always will love her LOL! so The guys most interested is swift, I hear good and bad, I'm willing to start at the bottom............actually, I did that 43 years ago, but you live....and you learn. Ive never made more that 16000 a year (with overtime!) so the crappy starter wage will seem good to me I'm sure......and what about being out there on the road? I have to say......you can't put a price on doing what you always wanted to!
