Sure is Mustang! Never had any problems in Mexico in the 30 years I've been trashing around here nor the 15 years I've made it my home.

This has nothing to do with the trucking issue. It's an internal issue.

I've lived in Mexico for most of the past 6 years, and also have never had any problems.

True....But it wouldn't happen on this side of the border and that is why it pertains to trucking!

The mexican authorities are so corrupt and the society is so broken that if an American trucker was to venture into that hellhole there could be no guarantees that he or his truck would ever be seen again...Such is NOT the case on the northern side of the border and that is why it is disengenuous to claim that we are as free to run in mexico as they are to run here under this foolish new agreement.

 

Anything can happen on either side of either border. Ask Jason Rivenburg. Oops! I forgot. You can't!

Nothing wrong with Mexican society and if people would take a moment to educate themselves, they would see that. Corruption? Transit cops, yes but the higher up the ladder of LE you go, the less so.

Want a guarantee of your safety? Lock yourself in your house, barricade the doors and hide under the bed for the rest of your life. The only guarantees in this life are death and taxes.

Strange people are fixated on this subject considering 4.5 million loads are hauled annually in and out of Mexico without problems.

 

It wouldn't happen on this side because we don't pay our teachers enough to warrant extortion.

Probably but another 9 million are transloaded on the U.S. side to prevent our equipment from coming back disabled if it comes back at all.
