I'm divorced for 4 years, so i plan on staying on the road for awhile. Forced dispatch don't bother much..as long as the miles are decent at payday. Ill will go company till my year is up and then decide on leasing or going with another company. Who knows maybe ill go team if the right person comes along.

TDI in Milton FL charges $700 bucks a day, 10 hrs per day. Most companies want 160 hours, so $11,200.

That is one heck of a racket!

O boy, I am in the same boat, still have my CDL, but never used it. It's been over 5 years since i graduated from accredited school. I do have the luxury of moving to wherever someone is willing to hire me though, if I can find the right employer willing to train me...

Call schnieder all they want if u haunt driven in awhile is a 40 hour refresher course... Check with sage school, They offer the 40 hour refresher for about 2200 and the 80 hour for 3300. You don't have to surrender your cdl and start all over again.

BJnobear................That is not true, I went to a SAGE school in Florida, but you have to live near LAKE WORTH COMMUNITY COLLEGE, or City of Lake Worth, near West Palm .........S.A.G.E. pro driving school at lake worth community college, went there in 2003, do not know if it is still there, but you can check.............GREAT SCHOOL!!

I live in Panama City Beach. West of Tallahassee, East of Ft. Walton. West Palm is 9 hours southeast. Look at a map.:biggrin_2554::biggrin_2554:

BJnobear, not to be a dick, but I was trying to help you out here......I did not live in WPB either, I had a three hour drive a the time, but what I did was rent a trailer/mobile home by the school, for one month...cost me 300.00, the class is one month exactly..........
At the time, I thought it was going to suck, but it was a piece of cake, the month went fast.......This school has one -on- one driver training, each student gets 4 hour blocks, alone with you and trainer, 3 times a week......go out at night, day, heavy traffic, rural roads, and highway......plus a few hills(rare in florida)you will know how to drive before you leave.......plus a huge yard by the airport, that you can drive all the different testing stations until you gett them down pat. and the school does the test! they take you down in a van to take the license part at DMV....cost.....3200.00 back in 2003

Didn't think you were a dick. Most people have no idea where PCB is. They think it is near Tampa or vero beach or something.
