wow! vintage cabover! I like it. But more then 80% of labour time is cabibin exterior and interior. It is a hard job.
Old cummins engines are simple and easy to rebuild, 13 st tranny... if it is not good - swap with any other tranny!
when I'll get more free time and more money I wanna find old Volvo F10 and rebuild it... but it is a plan for future...
In company garage we use two old cabovers, old F10 but it is converted to 4x2 with shorting frame and old tow truck. It is not daily runner so it is in good condition now. Old Volvo is really nice and reliable truck... not like new ones (((

Thats a nice tractor in the add but it takes the fun out of it if some one else has already done all the work..
Bjnobear, I already have reastored a 78 and a 86 freightliner cabover and a 61 B61 Mack. Im looking for something different -
The truck in the add looks to have an aluminum cab, which the east coast tractors did not. That's a big plus right there.
I used to own a hybrid Mack, or a Brockway.
SHC Thanks this. -
I've never seen F series MACK in Ukraine. There are some old R-series trucks towing tankers like in Mad Max mouvie...
US COE Trucks are rare here... some KW K100, FLA but generally US cabover is presented with International 9600 and 9800 on ex-USSR roads. -
OH man I wonder if FFE would let me pull there reefers with a restored one of those......

That long frame would be nice to put a camper on to make it a motorhome!
SHC Thanks this.
