Good deal Mic, remember the first 100 years are the worst, after that things do get better.

Too funny!

I've been sitting at the TA on the east side of Buffalo, NY since yesterday afternoon. My load delivers about 70 miles away Tuesday morning. Gotta love holiday weekends!
-
Not so much... It is always best to try to plan hometime around holiday weekends, for obvious reasons. The week between Christmas and New Years is always a good week for vacation. There are weeks that are always slow, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, week leading up to Christmas... I try to plan around these times. Might as well be home when it will be slow, that way I don't miss out on many miles. The best part is I don't end up sitting in a truckstop for days spending money instead of making it.

I made to the consignee of my relay load but no one is here til the morning so I sit in Michigan waiting... But I must get all the luck.. I made it 50 miles out of Gary and my airpressure starts dropping I made it to a TA and found that 2 of my trailer brake chambers had decided to start spewing air... But good thing was roehl go me fixed up at the TA and off down the road I went agai.... Wonder where I am gonna pick up a load once this one delivers lol I am in the middle of nowhere.. Plus my consignee is right next to a state police post lol

I tried to plan some home time this weekend, but it would have been to far out of route. I'm fine with it, I was just home 5 days ago.

Actually, Rick normally has a pretty good handle on things.
I wish he would get out more. Too many layers between him and the drivers.
Too many "managers" just sit in their offices and don't get out to talk to the drivers....
Used to not be that way...... -
Unka... I guess that is what happens when a company gets bigger the owner has to have more people to handle the day to day decisions but you give up being able to handle things on a more personal level... Every company started out small but as it grows it becomes more than one guy can handle... It would be nice if the managers got out to talk to the drivers more yes... But on the other hand there are alot of drivers you can never make happy no matter what.... All ya have to do is spend a minute in a drivers lounge to find that out lol

I prefer not being talked to too much. Occasionally is ok tho.
