I would wait to accessorize your truck until you have been assigned one. Some drivers leave all kinds of stuff behind and you may not need to buy a lot of stuff. Plus you don't know which truck you will be in and they are all different. Somethings fit in some, some hook up different, some you can put a microwave some won't fit. Just wait till you get in one and then pull it up to Wally World and load it up with what ever you want. If at all possible try to buy your stuff at Walmart or Radio Shack or even an RV store. It will be a lot cheaper then a truck stop! You can even order stuff online. Try not to buy ANYTHING at a truck stop! Buy your CB from Radio Shack or EBAY or something.

Flea markets and Jockey lots are also good places to find assorted items. We have a full service cb shop in ours. That guy is just a little too into it. He showed me his mobile he has hooked up in his car. Just a regular unassuming cobra. Then he opened the trunk and it looked like small nuclear reactor in there. Cables as big as your wrist, big fans blowing onto something the size of large suitcase and two car batteries to power it all. He wouldn't let me take a picture.
I'm sliding off topic here guys sorry. -

He's talking about one of those small camping toilets available at your friendly neighborhood Wal-mart. No bigger than a milk crate.

I can not say the same for paint buckets.
While we are still talking about bathrooms:
Ever walk into a stall and find no paper? Kids played fireman all over the seats at the rest area? No soap or paper towels? You need to make yourself a: "Bathroom Crash Bag" In a small leather bag I dropped: extra t-paper, small can of disinfectant, hand sanitizer, small roll paper towel. I have see drivers add razors, combs, tooth brush/paste, and deodorant for a full
morning/wake-up/booster/quick-cleanup kit.
Don't get caught with your pants down without one (pun intended)SpyderRyder and wicked Thank this. -
I use to watch shows, or bring dvd's with me but now I have been just reading a Kindle, use it while in the docks, waiting for a spot and at the end of the day.

I am brand new to trucking haven't even picked a company to work for and it appears everyone starts out doing OTR so my question is which companies have like satelite radios in there trucks?? Is that a industry norm type thing or do people have to buy there own and put them in?? I guess the same thing goes with a CB radio or types of conveniences like that.
