Opinion On Starting School Just Before Winter...

What would be ideal, would be for every school to have their own skid pan course. But it ain't gonna happen in MY lifetime. . .

 

I would agree. Might as well dive right into the deep end of the pool and get it over with.

 

Arkansas you're not alone. I'm far from new driving on ice and snow in a 4-wheeler. In fact, I was a county Mountie for a couple of decades. I've had cars on snow/ice at over 60mph, had to thread-the-needle, 2 cars stopped opposing each other to let me through, this was a narrow road with about 6" of snow, downhill. Of course after that one, I thought it was real cold outside, from how my legs were shaking.

Driving a rig on that stuff, I know I'm going to look like someone's great-grandma. Biggest concern is loosing control and running over someone.

My class doesn't start until Oct 17th, and lately around here in KS, we've been getting some pretty good snows by the end of Nov.
