I live in Tucson, AZ, and am looking for a good driving job. I can verify 10 years of CDL trucking experience with well known companies. (Gordon, Sherman Bros., Landstar) I have more experience, but my early jobs were with small companies that no longer exist. I have driven well over a million miles.
I even worked for a community college for 2 years as a Truck Driving Instructor, teaching brand new drivers.
I have never had any accidents, and my last ticket was over ten years ago. No convictions of any kind, non-smoking, non drinker, no drugs. My CDL "A" and DOT medical card are current. I can pass any background check, and am hardworking, and dependable.
The only possible fly in the ointment is that my most recent OTR driving experience was as a self employed, independent owner operator.. The period of August, 2007 through January, 2010, I was self employed, running under my own DOT authority, hauling cars nationwide with my own truck and trailer. I still have my log books and bills of lading from that period, which should provide some verification, and you could look up my DOT and MC number and safety record on the DOT website. I have been voluntarily out of trucking since January 2010.
I have considerable experience with dry vans, reefers, and flatbeds, in all kinds of weather, including mountain driving in ice and snow. I have a doubles endorsement, but not HAZMAT.
I have found that many carriers want very recent experience, but with my total range of experience, I am sure someone wants a mature, stable, driver like myself. I have not forgotten what I learned, I am a safe and dependable driver, and would be an asset to any company.
I am seeking a dry van or possibly flatbed operation in the 11 Western states, or the Phoenix/Tucson area, to Pacific Northwest and return.
Looking forward to hearing from you, with any advice or suggestions.
Rick

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
