Each driver has his/her preference... I have been out here going on 4 years,,not long at all but have been a electronics geek, of sorts, my whole life...LOL

Out of all the ones out there,,the Garmin (trucker series) and Rand McNally are in my opinion the best two... I bought a WorldNav in 2008,,,NEVER will I buy or suggest anyone do that again...

As far as teaming,,,if you want to team with your friend just for the heck of it, than go for it... If however you want to team with your friend for the sake of making more money,,,research my friend, research.

I wanna say thank you to all the wonderful people who post on here. I see trucks alot and reading about the good and the bad and everything in between has really opened my eyes to how it is for trucks both at usx and different companies. Me and My fiance are thinking about going on the road as a team in a few years depending on how life works out for us and hearing about the success stories of people like Nonocraig has inspired me greatly. So, again, Thank you all for continiously updating everything :biggrin_25514:

My husband drives and he is thinking of changing companies. One he is researching is US Xpress. Any comments if this would be a good idea? The company we are with, we have only been with for a little while and are completely unhappy. The miles are horrible and we take every trip. We would ideally like to do a lease (as we are now). Works for our lifestyle better. Any comments are appriciated! Thanks.

I am honestly not sure if we had a better day or not.

Last night we got a PP to PU in Carlislle at 0700 and deliver about 165 miles away (can't remember where)......our PTA was set for 0700 so we reset the alarms 30 minutes early........got up this morning and we had lost that one and got another one that picked up about 150 miles away at 0900 and delivered about 160 miles away in Upper Marlboro, MD........had to change the route because of the flooding so we ended up driving about 250 miles to deliver.

Now we have a PP that picks up 144 miles away in Toana, VA tomorrow and delivers in Trenton, OH the day after.......hopefully we'll get to keep this one.
