No I didnt take the curve too fast, I had come down I-24 thru TN, and there are curves all thru there, and was goin faster and they didnt come off there. I did a load check at ga line and all was ok. The wood failed. And no, it didnt take me a half a mile to stop, I had no shoulder to get off of hwy, had to find a place to get off hwy.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was also thinking he took the curb too fast. Luckily he didn't roll the truck over.

He wasn't talking about the curb in TN, but the one you took south of Atlanta when you lost your load. The lane was already blocked from the load that came off your truck, so you should have stopped there.

No I wasnt goin too fast, had to find a shoulder to get off the hwy. Came thru all the curves and Mount Eagle a lot faster and they never moved. Checked load at ga line, all was ok.

I can see one coil coming off. But 3 says something else. Maybe the other curves set you up and the last one finished it off.

I'm not trying to put you down. Just trying to use a little logic. It's not like you got a whole batch of bad wood. The ramp on I-285W shortens the arc while trucks tend to go too fast through there. That could of had something to do with it.

It's been awhile, but I been relayed a sealed load of welding rods. The driver gives me a copy of the scale ticket. Identical trucks. We relayed right before the Knoxville scales too. I get an overweight ticket because he failed to tell me he smoked the brakes and the load shifted. Lesson learned the hard way. Never depend on someone else when it comes to safety and money.

Fight it and try to get things dropped. Say a deer run out in front of you or a 4wheeler cut you off. :biggrin_2559:

DOT never showed up for his accident, according to the OP. Thus this accident will not go against his CSA score because a DOT inspection form was never created. CSA and DAC are two completely different beasts. Anyone can put anything on your DAC, but only DOT can put something on your CSA.

I had a total of four stacks, the front was crossed chained and the others were single chained. Three of the four front ones came off, being cross chained, others never moved. I have been hauling flatbed for many years and am really careful, and safe. Through about 20 years of driving this is my first ticket in a CMV.

Can you show me where it states that; "anyone can put anything on your DAC"? I am not suggesting you don't know what your talking about but I have been told that companys can do it and that only DOT can do it... I would like to see the reg on it, if you don't mind..

    thanks

My understanding was only companies. DOT and police are on mvr and CVSA.
