Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

I have to say, I'm having serious reservations in regard to doing more updates on my 500...The 2nd to last one locked it up for 3hrs and the one I did last night shut it off to where I had to hit the reset button to get it to come back on...Me no likey...

 

I am having problems with docking my TND 510. When I hook it up to the computer it will not sync. It does nothing. Any ideas? Also does junction view come up automatically or is there a setting to be able to use it. Does it only come up on major highways?

 

Most of my run is I-5 south from BC to the Seattle area, sometimes south of Portland. The question I have is why even it I have a drop off of I-5 in Tacoma, it wants to run me around I-405, if I want to stay on I-5 and go past the 405 turn off the next 2 exits it wants to cut me back over to 405. And then it will want to take me off I-5 at exit 175 to 523 for a few miles and then put me back on I-5, instead of just staying on I-5 all the way. And on the other hand I have had it when coming up from south of Portland with a P/U off I-205 it wanted to keep me on I-5 to the downtown area, and the put me over to I-205, instead of putting me right onto I-205 at the start.

Do you have an MAC version of your dock for the Intelliroute TND 710, I was told 6 months ago it was in the works, Is this just vaporware. Also how do I check which version am download from your web site, to update the 710 unit in question. ( MAC )

I have an power cord that is bent inside the TND unit, what in the procedure to get an new power cord before it brakes off inside the unit.

My average miles per hour has been off since the last update. Was/is this an issue with the update or something else.

I was searching for a cross street last week and remembered why I do not use this feature as much as it could be used.

Why do I need to know the city/town of a cross street?

If you are searching for say State Rt 18 and State 511 in Ohio that should be enough info or at least enough info to narrow it down to a few choices.

I have had my 710 for 2 months and it won't charge anymore. I plug it in via the 110 inverter and that works. When in California the mi counter doesn't work. As close as I can tell it counts how many miles into a county and resets when I cross a county line. I crossed into Oregon 3 weeks ago and it worked at mi marker 1 and work all across the country. 3 days ago I crossed back into California and the problem resumed. Worthless unit if it wont charge. Very disappointed because of the research I did prior to purchase. My gut told me not to buy this unit but I did anyway. Stupid me.
